Save Ukraine e.V. Halle provides support for refugee Ukrainian families

With generous financial support from the Deutsche Kinderhilfswerk, the association ‘Save Ukraine e.V.,’ based in Halle (Saale), is implementing a assistance and integration project for Ukrainian children and adolescents. The support focuses primarily on linguistic and psychological stabilization, as well as providing assistance for self-help among the youth, enabling them to better navigate their daily lives in school and leisure activities. This initiative contributes significantly to the integration of Ukrainian youth in Halle.

In addition, the association ‘Save Ukraine e.V.,’ with the kind support of the Evangelical Johannesgemeinde Halle, organizes several weekly activities for Ukrainian children and adolescents aged 6 to 18 in its premises at ‘An der Johanneskirche 2,’ 06110 Halle (Saale). The German-Ukrainian team of the association will offer language sessions twice a week for three age groups (6-8 years, 9-13 years, 14-18 years), providing playful and light assistance in learning the German language and support with homework.

In addition, there will be a language club for more advanced learners, where everyday language practice is exercised in an easily accessible manner to reduce inhibitions. Accompanying psychological individual and group sessions for children and adolescents complement the program. The project has been ongoing since September and will continue until the end of December this year.
